Most patients need around two or three days of downtime. You should plan on avoiding strenuous exercise for at least a week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There may be some swelling and bleeding after the procedure. Generally speaking, these symptoms should go away on their own after enough time has passed. Swelling normally starts to go down after about three days, and any bruising will have largely faded after seven days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Your Diet After All-on-4\u00ae<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While All-on-4\u00ae will eventually allow you to eat virtually anything you want without issue, it will take time for the dental implants to finish joining with the jawbone. On top of that, the temporary denture that will be placed on your implant posts will not be designed to deal with foods that are particularly tough or hard. As such, your diet for at least the first three months of your recovery will consist of soft or liquid foods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of the foods that you will be able to enjoy while your mouth is healing include applesauce, mashed potatoes, and yogurt. Your periodontist may have other suggestions for nutritious foods that will be easy on your new smile. Make sure that you\u2019re stocked up on soft and liquid foods ahead of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Total Healing Time<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Every patient\u2019s mouth is different. Thus, the exact amount of time it takes to fully recover after All-on-4\u00ae will vary from case to case. That said, you can usually expect it to take around three to four weeks.
